Taking some time for my business
I’ve been really swamped with client work lately which is fine, I’m grateful for the work. What I’ve noticed is that because my Virtual Assistance practice grew so quickly, I really did not have the time to put a great system in place to handle the work flow smoothly. So I’m using this weekend to get organized before the piles get any more unruly. So in the morning I’m off to Staples to pick up some file cabinets and folders so i can file away all this paper work. I’ll have to report back on how it’s going! I purchased the Ultimate Guide to Creating a Thriving Business manual today by a fellow VA and friend Yvonne Weld of ABLE VA. Yvonne’s book delves into the reasons why having a procedures manual and an organized way of doing things is so important to running a successful business. I am eager to read the manual and start putting the information into practice. This was a great investment for my business.

Hi Yamisi,
Have fun shopping at Staples! I love office supply stores! My favorite place to shop is Office Depot.
I don’t have any clients (YET), but I need to set down some guidelines and procedures now. I don’t want to get swamped and pull my hair out trying to keep things straight!
Thanks for the heads up!

Unruly “plies” can be totally horrible. Especially if they’re living in your closet with the boogeyman.
Sorry, you’re such a perfectionist I could not let the typo go. Sadly, Patty won’t be able to comment on this entry because when she saw the typo - her head exploded.
When you get some practices for workflow in place, let me know. I’d love to chat and trade ideas on the most effective way to do that!
